The forgotten Lines
Once upon a time there was a small kingdom, where as every fairy tale, there was a castle, knights, and a King! The king was a generous and wise man, and when people argued him about the secret of his generosity, the King said: "if you want to know really who you are, listen your thoughts before you sleep at night! At that moment you'll be alone and without mask. Then, you will have two choices: understand the arrow, or understand the line! I try to understand the lines"! People thought he was talking about the 'string' of a bow, but the king was talking about your only secret: ...a room! Every night, the king entered in that room before goes to sleep! During all his life, nobody entered there with him, until the day when the king died! Your only daughter heard from her father his last words: "The room... ...keep the lines"! That didn't make sense in that moment and the princess forgot that words for several months! One morning, she found a key in the king's bedroom, with a big "L" wrote upside. The Princess remembered the words of her father. She took that key and, following her intuition, she went until the secret room and tried the key, and... ...click! The Princess entered in a completely dark room. Following the wall, she reached the window, opened the curtains and then, the sunlight showed her something weird for a secret! The chamber was completely occupied for several lines crossing the room from wall to wall, in all senses, up and down! After some minutes of astonishment, the princess realized that each line was continually labeled with sequential numbers and in the start point, each line had a name. The lines were not entirely straight - some lines, in some points, crossed another lines changing his sense! Several lines had started from other lines but all of them had finished on the walls or on the floor or on the ceiling. The princess knew her father was not crazy... ...that strings should have a meaning! Besides the big window, there was a small table with a big book. Walking carefully, the Princess reach the book and read the cover "See The Small, Listen The Silence and Understand The Lines"! The princess opened the book and saw, histories, dates, places, pictures, draws, poems... ...each one linked to a specific line, in a specific moment! After hours, in a mix of fascination, emotion and reverence, the princess cried... ...happiness tears! The princess became queen, generous and wise as her father. And every night, before to sleep, she visited the 'Line's room' and in silence, staid there sometime. She never get married and when she died, came the war for the power and the castle was almost completely destroyed... ...and the lines forgotten... ...forever! Imprecisely, this history crossed centuries and lands, and we don't know if is really true, but it's said that the last words of the Queen was: "-I tried... ...but I could not understand... ...I could not!"
